November Services

PROCESS FOR APPOINTING NEW TEAM RECTOR
Please continue to pray for the person God will bring in His time to lead the Team and for all of us to be patient and willing to embrace the change God is bringing about here.
Please also continue to pray for the clergy across the Team – Margaret Fowler, Rupert Hankey and Christine Williams and the lay leaders at each church, especially at Emmanuel, as they all take on more responsibility.

INDOOR MARKET
The next Indoor Market is on Saturday 16th November 10-4pm, lunches served 11.30am – 2pm.

ANNUAL MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR THE BEREAVED
The annual service will be held at Emmanuel Church on Sunday, 3 November 2024 at 3 p.m. Anyone who has been bereaved is welcome to attend, to remember those they have lost and be reminded of the promise that God is with us even through sad and difficult times. Please pick up a letter in the foyer or contact Sue Oakley if you’d like to attend. sue.oakley@billericaychurches.org

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD (OCC) SHOEBOXES
This year we are inviting people to make up their own shoeboxes and bring them to the service on Sunday 17 November, where they will be blessed before being sent off.
Donations left over from last year and generously given this year have been put out in the Foyer for people to take to add to their shoeboxes.

CHURCH FLOWERS
We take this opportunity to say ‘Thank-You’ to all the team who provide the beautiful flower arrangements at Emmanuel throughout the year. They are all so generous in supplying the dis- plays throughout the year and more so during the major festivals at Harvest, Christmas and Easter. Thank-You so much. If anyone is interested in helping to decorate the church, please contact Trish Pickup.

TABLE TENNIS
Enjoy table tennis? Join us on Wednesday, 13th November for the new mid-week Table Tennis social evening in the Foyer between 7 – 9pm. Alan Woolnough and Banjo

CHRISTINGLE FACTORY
The annual pop-up Christingle Factory will take place in the Chapel/Lounge on Monday 23 De- cember from 10am – 12 noon. Please let Sue Stevens know if you can come and help assemble the Christingles ready for the next day.

EMMANUEL’S FINANCES
As for everyone else, the cost of running Emmanuel church has risen considerably in recent years. Currently it costs £41.25 a day to run the church, and our Expenditure has exceeded our Income for a while now. To help alleviate the shortfall, donations towards the running of the church will be very gratefully received, either by direct payment to the Bank account:
